How is Shipping Calculated??
We charge by item weight.
All the products in our store have been weighed, and entered into our software.
As you shop, the product weights are added up.
We then add .25 of a pound for packing materials.
You choose the delivery method using a pull-down menu on the checkout page.
A nomimal handling charge is added to cover the price of the boxes, packing materials, etc.
We ship using your choice of the Post Office (USPS) or United Parcel Service (the "Brown" truck - UPS).
Our store software goes to the Post Office and UPS sites to calculate shipping charges for your zip code.
In both the case of UPS and the Post Office, the first pound of shipping weight is the most costly.
Shipping charges are given to you before you commit to a purchase.
We are not making money on shipping.
Please note however,
If you are going to call to make an order you will not be given web prices.
You will be charged prices shown in our latest printed advertisement or price sheet.
These are slightly higher due to the fact that it takes us longer to process those orders.
Shipping on call-in orders is charged by percentage of total sale.
Our site is secure and it is safer to give credit card information through the site rather than over the telephone.
